SiPearl is building the European high-performance low-power microprocessor dedicated to supercomputing and AI inference. This new generation of microprocessors will first target EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, which is deploying world-class supercomputing infrastructures in Europe for solving major challenges in medical research, security, energy management and climate with a reduced environmental footprint.

SiPearl is working in close collaboration with its 30 partners from the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium - leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centres and industry - which are its stakeholders, future clients and end-users.

SiPearl employs more than 190 people in France (Maisons-Laffitte, Grenoble, Massy, Sophia Antipolis), Germany (Duisburg) and Spain (Barcelona).

 


    💻 About the role

    In this role, you will work closely with Dominique Bordereaux, our CIO, to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems by guaranteeing their implementation, management, and security.



    🎯 What a regular day at the job might look like

    • Manage the company's networks (2 data centers in France, offices in France, Germany, Spain, and remote offices)
    • Ensure site and WAN interconnections and relationships with telecommunications providers
    • Maintain the network at the state of the art in terms of security and reliability
    • Participate in the deployment of network security policies to protect all data
    • Monitor network activities to detect and prevent security incidents
    • Implement intrusion prevention mechanisms (IDS/IPS) and firewalls in collaboration with the company's security team
    • Manage SSL/TLS certificates and implement VPNs to secure all communications
    • Provide level 2/3 support to resolve network and security related incidents
    • Work closely with IT teams and other departments to meet network needs
    • Analyze and identify the root cause of incidents
    • Propose an action plan/corrective action to resolve the incident 

     


    🔍 What would make you succeed in this role

    • Fluent English in an international environment
    • In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
    • Mastery of switching and routing technologies
    • Experience in configuring and managing firewalls and security devices
    • Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.)
    • Network troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work with network monitoring and management tools
    • Programming/scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell)
    • Engineering degree or equivalent level of expertise
    • At least 5 years of prior experience in the field
