Job description

Meet our team

You will be part of the fifteen-member Application Delivery team that supports Windows OS 10/11 operating systems and their applications on 8,000 servers for 60 countries where Heidelberg Materials operates. Our primary goal revolves around delivery and maintenance of 1st class services including Operation Systems, Citrix, AVD, Databases and patch management. Our team covers everything in the application area, from day-to-day operations to the technical engineering side of things.

What will you do

As a Lead Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising teams, updating incident statuses, and implementing changes to uphold key performance indicators (KPIs). This role requires proactive problem-solving and effective collaboration with product owners and engineering teams to agree on service creation and lifecycles. This involves receiving requests for new services, updating existing services, and providing consultation on changes and differences. Additionally, you will be expected to lead and coordinate technical discussions to achieve successful solutions.


Preferred experience

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

  • Deep technical knowledge and enthusiasm of Windows OS, Linux OS, Citrix, Databases and patch management

  • Ability to express complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skill

  • Skills of delegation

  • Fluent English
