Job description

Decathlon's Mobile App team mission is to create easy-to-use shopping experiences for our customers, motivating them on their sports journey whenever and wherever they are.

We aim to inspire and enable our customers’ sports journey through a seamless, personalized omnichannel experience.

We are expanding the Decathlon Mobile App to 12 additional markets this year, aiming to reach over than 30 countries and a achieve a turnover target of hundreds of millions. Our challenge is to maintain a user rating of 4.5/5 while satisfying our growing user base. To do this, we continuously enhance our in-app services to offer the best possible user experience and increase user acquisition and retention.

Our Decathlon Mobile App team is seeking a Product Manager for the In-Store Product Team.

Your future impact is cantered around revolutionizing the in-store experience for our customers through the development and management of our mobile app platform. As a Mobile App Product Manager leading the in-store squad, your primary objective is to leverage technology to seamlessly integrate digital solutions with the physical retail environment. Your team's efforts will directly contribute to enhancing customer engagement, driving sales, and fostering brand loyalty.

Your impact is split around 5 major areas:

1/ Vision and Product Strategy

  • Define the vision, strategy, and positioning for a product that millions of users across various countries worldwide rely on.
  • Supervise the creation of value
  • Write an outcome-based product roadmap, share it to your stakeholders and teams within your ecosystem.

2/ Discovery

  • Analyse customer feedback and market trends to identify product opportunities and enhancement.
  • Define solid hypotheses based on quantitative and qualitative exploration.
  • Conduct an Experimentation program to continuously improve your key metrics and user satisfaction
  • Explore emerging technologies and trends in the mobile app industry, and identify opportunities to leverage these technologies to enhance the product experience.
  • Optimize the user experience for mobile devices. This will involve collaborating closely with Product Designers, UX Researcher and Content Designers to guide design work, create mobile-friendly interfaces and guarantee a Continuous Discovery pace.

3/ Delivery

  • Prioritize by value-potentiality and plan the work for the realization of the product (design, testing, product launch, and its evolutions for our users).
  • Ensure the quality of the product.
  • Track the outcomes of each feature you bring to production.
  • Communicate upcoming product developments, both externally and internally to the team

4/ Data

  • Collaborate with web and data-analysts to understand and optimize product usage.
  • Define and supervise the key success metrics of the product.

5/ Product Culture

  • Establish a collaborative working mode, a trustworthy and responsible environment within the team
  • Be an active participant in the product ecosystem, develop and promote the product mindset around you

Requirements

  • Product Manager, you have 5 years of product experience in a B2C digital environment and in an international context
  • You have proven experience in Mobile Apps and knowledge of the Apps ecosystem and Mobile App Platforms
  • You master the key principles and methods to develop a product from vision to delivery (research, data analysis, prioritization, specification, testing...)
  • You demonstrate a solid experience in Product Discovery, conducting effective product discovery processes that helps you to identify and validate customer needs and business opportunities.
  • You have a data-informed mindset to back up your assumptions, make decisions, and drive actions.
  • You have significant experience in designing and conducting Experimentation to validate hypotheses about product features and new business models
  • You know how to prioritize, let go, and say no in order to keep your product team focused on the essentials
  • You have excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it to stakeholders at the executive level
  • You have a strong intellectual curiosity
  • You are passionate about sports and eager to share your passions with the team!
