Already live in 15 European countries and in the US, with meteoritic growth since its founding in 2014 (run rate of several billions of GMV), Back Market first time expanded in Asia in 2021, successfully launching its marketplace in Japan (www.backmarket.co.jp). As the world's sixth largest e-commerce market, South Korea is one of the most strategic countries for Back Market's expansion in Asia to build the leading global marketplace for refurbished electronics and appliances.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Lead Growth Manager, and you will be responsible for the Korean supply chain. This role will be responsible for the development of new business in Kora.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🥇

  • You will assist us in establishing the right positioning for Back Market in South Korea (brand platform and key messages) to strongly appeal to local consumers, working with a cross-functional team.
  • Converting a portfolio of top priority partners and delivering partner satisfaction and business growth, as well as identifying new strategic prospects with the highest business potential. 
  • Building an effective operational strategy to approach them. 
  • Approaching, negotiating with and converting these strategic leads into Back Market sellers. 
  • Adapt, improve and build tools and processes, working hand-to-hand with the Back Market Product team with the constant aim of improving Korean partners' satisfaction. 
  • Lead the Korea Supply Performance, conduct the operational monitoring of supply results and communicate at the company level on the Korean supply performance. 
  • Identify key improvements & blocking points for target completion, design solutions with other Business and Product teams and monitor their implementation and adoption.

  • You are a native Korean speaker, and fluent in English. You have at least one international experience - either studying or working abroad, either working for an international company in Korea.
  • You have a first experience as a sales/business development, consulting or project manager in a best-in-class Korean or international company.
  • You have a strong understanding of the refurbished electronics business environment, and what’s needed to lead Back Market to success in Korea.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, you are open-minded and you want to surpass yourself by building. You thrive in a fast moving environment, within an agile environment.
  • You want to work in an international environment, for one of the biggest European startup companies.
  • You are eager to learn and you want to immerse yourself in a very, very fast growing environment.
