Responsibilities

We seek a researcher to help us develop technologies that enable the development of convincing, vegan alternatives to
meat.

Our target: reaching taste parity with animal meat.

The principal focus of the role is to carry out innovative research in a laboratory environment.

Other responsibilities include:
• keeping up-to-date on the latest advances in the field and continuously searching for new technologies;
• actively participating in brainstorming and ideation sessions for product development;
• assessing the feasibility of technologies and their path to industrialization;
• keeping a clean, safe, and inclusive work environment;
• logging research advances and discoveries and reporting back to the R&D team;
• providing guidance to junior scientists and associates

Competencies

• PhD or post-doc in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or related field with expertise in soft matter or
polymer science
• Proven track record of independent thinking
• Ability to give and receive feedback
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• No prior experience in food science is required

Process: you will have a first video call with an HR team member, followed by an interview with a member of R&D.

After that, we’ll ask for references and that you complete and defend a business case with our CTO Vincent Poulichet.

Start: as soon as you’re able; the position is full-time.
