Their story

Autonomy is the result of perception and action. Perception is today the missing link to solve the challenge of autonomous robotics. To address this challenge, in 2020, Rémi Agier (Ex Aigen,Bureau d'étude en Vision artificielle) and Thibault Neveu (Ex Samsung Research America, TTT) founded Visual Behavior with the ambition to provide spatial perception of the environment to robots.

Today, Visual Behavior has evolved. The technical and product team is growing. The team has developed a first prototype. It is being tested and experimented with our partners in order to be massively deployed on many autonomous platforms in the coming years.

Visual behavior is working to become one of the first autonomy providers. Our mission is to define a long-term scientific roadmap, while ensuring the production of coherent products with regard to the needs of the industry.

  • Their vision

Together with our partners, the year 2022 will challenge us to deploy our product to millions of first robots worldwide. As such, we plan to double the size of our team by 2023. The next few years will be dedicated to deploying our system in a greater variety of mobile autonomous robots.

Company values

We are not afraid to be challenged to solve complex problems.

Our team is made up of talented people from different fields, with extensive experience and knowledge in science, mathematics and engineering. We like to look at what seems impossible at first sight, to make it a reality.

We have a bold and positive team atmosphere, we like to discuss our respective missions but we also like to take the time to discuss many different topics over a drink or a good meal. We encourage a climate of trust in which everyone can grow to their full potential.

Ambitious projects and innovative methods, scientific rigor is one of the key words at Visual Behavior.

Adaptability 👨🏽‍💼

The ability to learn new skills, chances are that the tools we will be using in 1 year's time do not yet exist.

Commitments and CSR

At Visual Behavior, we are passionate about having a positive social, environmental and technological impact. Today, our company is contributing to the 17th objective of Charter for Sustainable Development, whose key points it promotes. By creating a generic and scalable system that can be deployed on small hardware, Visual Behavior offers a solution that limits energy requirements and sensor obsolescence over the long term.

Action

In order to carry out R&D, Visual Behavior has a self-hosted computing center in Lyon and access to the major national intensive computing equipment.

This business development strategy has been thought out by the co-founders, who are keen to create an AI player capable of contributing directly and indirectly to the challenges of tomorrow, such as digital sovereignty, respect for privacy and preservation of the environment.
