Urban Campus continuously seek additional buildings to create new campuses in up-and-coming neighborhoods in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and other main cities. Through partnerships with real estate investors, buildings can be acquired or let. The role of the Head of Business Development Iberia is to source these opportunities, secure the buildings, negotiate attractive economic/legal terms, execute the acquisitions and support the transformation into operational campuses.

This is a demanding position with significant responsibilities and workload that required strong organization and negotiation skills. We therefore look for a highly talented and motivated individual with demonstrable experience and an established network of contacts. The position is based in Madrid and will work very closely, and report, to Urban Campus’s Chief Development Officer.

Here is what will be expected from you, as Head of Business Development - Iberia :

Business development

• Source, negotiate and deliver new buildings to be operated as urban campuses.
• Build strong relationships with developers, investors, landlords, brokers, municipalities and other real estate professionals.
• Market Urban Campus to the real estate community.

Opportunities analysis and asset modeling

• Analyze opportunities to evaluate operational and financial viability
• Run asset models for spaces under review/management.
• Establish operational budgets, recommend improvements and provide creative solutions to close development deals
• Refine strategy in collaboration with Urban Campus’ founders
• Prepare and present monthly activity reports.
• Supervise negotiations of transaction and development agreements (including legal documentation).
• Monitor progress of development deals from identification to hand-over.

Here are the must: 🎯

• A minimum of 7+ years of demonstrable experience in leading real estate investment, asset management or development. Please note that you will be asked to present and discuss your track record during the interview process.
• Analytical and result-driven
• Business school degree or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, resourceful and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Complete fluency in Spanish and English. Any other European language a plus.
