Job description

It’s an exciting time to join Trainline. Not only are we leading the charge to empower customers globally to make greener travel choices, we’re also heavily investing in bolstering our brand team and capabilities in order to manage some epic few years ahead for the brand.
Led by our Senior Brand Manager – international, we’re looking for an experienced Brand Manager to take responsibility for the expert creative execution of big ideas to help us achieve our goals across Spain and Europe. The chosen brand star will be based in our brand new office in Barcelona, and report into the London-based Senior Brand Manager - International.

Trainline is a newbie across Europe, however we see huge potential for growth across France, Italy and Spain. This means we have much work to do to capture hearts and minds, encouraging rail travellers away from road, air and incumbent apps, by providing them with reasons to establish a simpler and cheaper way to travel… and your contribution will make a big impact!

Role Responsibilities…

  • Be the Brand representative in our Barcelona office, to make the Spanish team breath and feel our brand purpose and personality everyday.
  • Execute brand campaigns effectively, working hand in hand with creative agencies and the in-house creative studios, devising campaigns timeline and schedule, and overseeing the work of both parties
  • As the custodian for the brand for these markets you’ll be responsible for ensuring the brand identity is adhered to in campaign assets and marketing materials to bring Trainline to life through multi-channel campaigns
  • Provide creative solutions to leverage media plans, to drive engagement and incremental growth
  • Manage 3rd party on boarding process / PO and payments
  • You will “wow” our customers, supporting the Senior Brand Managers in establishing and growing our offering to target audiences, mapping this to our GTM and Marketing strategy so that we meet our performance goals.
  • Play an active role in the development and roll out of our new brand – cross channel, territory and product.
  • As an ambassador for tech and rail travel, you’ll have your ear to the ground to share best practice in brand, challenging our thinking and driving up the quality of our work

Preferred experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Spanish native with fluency in English
  • A natural in leading campaigns & project management with a breadth of experience in transforming strategic plans into measurable actions
  • Strong time and project management skills, a natural at working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience in dealing with fast-paced product and design teams
  • Experience in executing creative and messaging strategies across channels
  • A personal passion in making a positive impact on the climate crisis.
  • A great eye for detail and accuracy
  • Creative and conceptual thinker with outstanding storytelling and presentation skills
  • Comfortable analysing data, and using it to make informed decisions
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
