Stilla advises and supports its customers worldwide with a multidisciplinary team, whose expertise spans from microfluidics and chemistry, to molecular biology and computer science.
After completing a 20 M€ Series B funding round in January 2020, Stilla intends to accelerate the adoption & development of its next-generation solution to clinical diagnostics market. The company is looking to: 1. Expand the sales of its Naica System worldwide 2. Scale production capacities 3. Maintain a strong R&D pipeline of innovative products for precision genetic analysis (instrumentation, consumables and assays).

As the privileged contact of production in the event of a problem, the production engineer will be responsible for supporting the production team in order to maintain optimal working conditions. He / she will be in charge of equipment (purchase, maintenance, monitoring, availability, safety, implementation), optimization of production methods, product traceability and safety / environment in production.

Optimization of the organization and homogenization of production methods

• Define work standards, actively participate in the design of product manufacturing ranges, define the procedures to be followed.
• Train production staff in standards and ensure their follow-up.
• Carry out studies before launching a projects to improve reliability, increase production and reduce rejected parts, in collaboration with production managers and the industrialization team.
• Follow the activity indicators of the production workshops (dashboards, graphics …), and implement action plans in order to achieve the objectives.
• In collaboration with production managers, set up tools allowing the traceability of products during production

Design of production / quality control tools

• Prototype / develop the tools or methods necessary for manufacturing and quality control operations as well as associated technical documentation (work instructions, lists of materials, purchasing specifications, etc.).
• Train staff in the use of new processes and devices
• If necessary, carry out production operations yourself in support of technicians

Availability of the production tool

• Guarantee the daily availability of equipment according to the production plan and respect the productivity objectives.
• Set up preventive maintenance programs (control, corrective actions, forecast maintenance, etc.).
• Analyze malfunctions, implement an action plan and ensure the remedial maintenance of the equipment.
• Set up a file for monitoring instruments and training operators
• Management of equipment repair, calibration and maintenance providers.

Management of technical studies on production processes

• Break down and analyze the different stages of the manufacturing process to make the production process more reliable.
• Carry out feasibility studies to adapt the production tool to the different products (versatility) and to new commercial demands.
• Study technological solutions to reduce industrial risks (gas emissions, noise pollution, etc.).

Our ideal candidate:

• Master 2 or general engineer degree, production, industrial maintenance, industrial engineering or related field
• Has one or more successful experiences participating in the development and improvement of an industrial system, ideally in the medical industry
• Has a team spirit, with excellent communication skills
• Is pro-active, autonomous and rigorous
• Likes to interact with multiple teams and interfaces
• Is ready to learn and sometimes to step out of his comfort zone
• Must be able to communicate in French and English
