THE TEAM :
The Product Design team @ D-EDGE is part of the Product & Tech team, made up of over 250 people based in Paris, Barcelona, Bordeaux and Nantes. Our goal is to design and develop the best possible products for hoteliers and guests. We have developed a culture in which agility and teamwork are at the service of innovation and excellence.

Product Design is a strategic pillar to operate our company vision. The team advocates the user voice and aims to put the user experience at the heart of everything we do. We’re a fast-growing team, moving from 2 to 12 this year.

THE MISSIONS :

  • You will be leading the product design activities for 3 themes: Direct distribution (booking experience, checkouts & payments and digital media), Guest management and Data Intelligence. This perimeter includes B2C and B2B concerns, giving you the opportunity to work on the final guest experience as well as hoteliers experience on our Saas products.

  • You will be in charge of a team of 3 to 6 senior product designers, each working on a specific perimeter with their product teams. Your role is to empower and coach them to succeed in their day-to-day job and ensure a high standard of quality of the product design team work.

  • As a lead product designer, we also askyou to act as a contributor to the design team for strategic projects, whether on discovery or delivery phases, working closely with product directors, product managers and designers. We need your expertise to bring the team further in terms of vision, strategic impacts and operational excellence

  • One of your top responsibilities will be to ensure the user research activities (primary or secondary) are as frequent as possible, well executed and profitable to the quality of our products. Apart from direct user research, we have tons of user knowledge brought by user proxies such as Client Service, Sales or Account management. Part of your duty is to work with your designers to nurture a continuous feedback approach with those teams. Finally, we’d like you to support your designers in their tasks related to the construction and maintenance of user knowledge documentation (personas, top tasks, experience maps…).

  • Being part of the Product Design team also means to participate in the foundations and deployment of our design systems (Guests + Hoteliers). You’ll be working with your fellow product designers, the front-end and the dev team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

    • 10+ years of hands-on product design experience, with a diversity of B2C and B2B/Saas projects. You’re a T-shaped designer, with a broad range of skills and some specializations.
  • Strong user research skills are required for the role.
  • With a proven track record of product design work, you know how to handle complex projects and you are ready to adapt your processes to our context.
  • A demonstrating portfolio is appreciated.
    You have at least one management experience and are recognized for your leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • You’re able to address strategic matters and give directions to your team, as well as be fully hands-on, whether on discovery or delivery matters.
  • Agile, you have the ability to thrive in an environment of experimentation and are used to lean startup methodologies and agile processes.
  • You’re comfortable working in an international context and collaborating in English with your colleagues and end users.
