WHAT WOULD YOU BE IN CHARGE OF? 💼

As part of its growth’s acceleration, Colonies is looking for a VP of Operations Europe.
Reporting directly to one of the co-founders, you make sure all the operations managed by Colonies are profitable while ensuring a fast and long-lasting growth in France and abroad.

WHAT WOULD YOUR MAIN MISSIONS BE? 🎯

• Secure the occupancy rate of our residences (apartments, houses and large projects) by organizing the work of the lead generation and sales teams.
• Improve the overall satisfaction level of our tenants.
• Create consistency around the operational teams and procedures to reduce operational costs related to our residences’ management and strive for operational excellence.
• Actively contribute to projects related to new business lines (reflection and operational implementation).
• Measure efficiency and effectiveness of the European operations and make sure information flows to constantly improve Colonies’ product and experience.

On a daily basis, you work closely with internal teams such as sales and acquisition, project management and maintenance, tech and architecture teams. In that sense, you demonstrate strong adaptation capacities, an open-minded and attentive posture, as well as strong interpersonal skills.

You are able to provide a critical perspective on corporate strategic decisions and to propose new ideas and solutions.

Your performance will be measured by the achievement of the NSM objectives (North Star Metric of Colonies = # active tenants) and the check metric (Ebit / unit) on the European scope.

WHO ARE YOU? 👑

• You have a significant experience of at least 8 years in Operations within a hyper growing company and already had the opportunity to structure a team in a similar environment - experience in Real Estate and / or in Hospitality is a plus.
• You know how to manage and support teams made up of various profiles with intercultural background.
• You are a very rigorous person with a very strong work capacity and a good stress resistance.
• You like to take up challenges and demonstrate strong leadership skills and an exceptional energy.
• You are eager to innovate and equip your team to ensure a long-lasting growth.
• You know how to negotiate with partners, to meet budget, deadline and quality objectives; you are result and business oriented.
• You have impressive interpersonal and communication skills which allow you to adapt your posture and actions to your interlocutors and to the circumstances

We are vertically integrated. Everything is made in-house by a community of 60 doers! We source properties, design co-living spaces, supervise the rehabilitation/construction work, rent the rooms and take care of the daily operations to ensure the most enjoyable experience to our tenants.

We are growing at a fast pace to support the opening of a new house every two weeks. As a matter of fact, the number of rooms will be multiplied by 10 in the 18 coming months.

Does it work? Yes, today all our rooms are rented even before the rehabilitation/construction work is over.
