Popis pracovnej ponuky

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and operation of business-critical features that add customer value on top of Voice. Best practices, evangelization, and mentoring in your team and across the whole of Engineering will be part of your day to day job.

Quality, excellence, and agility drive our delivery processes and you will help us level these up. Using a variety of back-end stacks, appropriate for each requirement, but always hosted on AWS, we build added value and resilient services on top of voice and fully integrate with our customers’ business critical tools (CRM, Helpdesk, E-Commerce, …).

Your mission @Aircall:

  • Participate in requirements analysis to help with providing the right technical and business solutions for our customers
  • Have key responsibilities within the design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of key modules
  • Write clean scalable code and test and deploy applications and systems
  • Revise, update, refactor, and debug code
  • Be part of an engineering organization delivering high quality, secure, voice solutions to Aircall clients
  • Involvement in product and platform performance optimization and live site monitoring
  • Mentor team members

A little more about engineering @Aircall:

In the next few years, our technical challenge is to leverage fully decoupled architecture and microservices at scale with reliable, event-driven infrastructure behind the scenes.

  • Volume: Store, aggregate and compute 1M+ events/day today, 100M+ by next year
  • Live: Analyse and take live decisions based on 1M+ events/day
  • Modularity: Make our stack scale and increase squads’ productivity by featuring microservices based on event-driven architecture
  • Uptime: Keep a 99.99% uptime while dealing with an exponential activity growth

We have built and successfully operated +8 microservices since 2019, and that’s just the beginning. There are impacts and changes at all levels: architecture, infrastructure, software, organization, and business.
As we scale our stack, we are scaling our team. We are organized in squads which allows us to combine different experts (tech, product, design, business) around a specific roadmap project. This drastically improved our productivity by focusing on key subjects and making our own decisions. Trust in one another is the key to success, along with commitment and transparency.
