World Game is the first impact game studio. We turn scientific and societal problems into mobile apps to leverage on the power of collective and artificial intelligence, to win and solve.
We crowdsource solutions with mobile games to:

• ENGAGE large communities on a challenge.
• ANALYSE massive, unstructured data.
• OPTIMISE simulated systems and improve them in real life.

We are looking for talented full stack developers to help us design great impact games and achieve our vision of solving the world’s biggest problems through entertaining interactions.

As a full stack developer, you will be working closely with our CTO and our game development team on our core technologies, part of our R&D effort to disrupt the way mobile games are traditionally produced.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and develop the World Game core backend (API, Database, Pipelines)
• Ensure the quality of the APIs remains the highest possible
• Consolidate our data integration pipeline on which most of our games rely
• Participate in design and feedback gathering sessions, helping us ensure the high standards of quality to which we hold all of our productions.

STACK

• Back-end : AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway), CDK (Typescript)
• Front-end : ReactJS, Unity

MANDATORY SKILLS :

• Strong Python skills

• Database analysis and database management

• Fully fluent in English

• An inner passion for video games

• Strong learning skill

• Cooperation spirit and ability to work with different profiles (game designers, designers, management)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of the AWS suite (Lambda, Api gateway, DynamoDB)
• Optimisation mindset (Performance, network bandwith, memory usage)
• Devops knowledge
• Javascript

NICE TO HAVE:

• Knowledge of the Unity engine
• Experience with Machine Learning projects
