As a Junior Quality Assurance Tester at WeeFin, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fundamental quality and functionality of our B2B SaaS platform - a trusted solution enabling the financial industry to scale sustainable finance practices.

This is an entry-level position focused on manual, operational testing. You will execute pre-defined test scripts, perform functional testing, and report defects. A key part of this role will also be the management and preparation of internal demo and staging environments to ensure they are current and ready for testing and demonstrations. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will be vital in maintaining the reliability of our platform.

You will work closely with Product Owners and developers, serving as the first line of defense against bugs, helping to ensure a smooth and reliable user experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Scripted Testing

  • Execute Test Scripts: Diligently follow and execute established manual test cases and functional scripts across new and existing features.

  • Basic Exploratory Testing: Perform simple, ad-hoc testing to try and break the system in expected ways, primarily focused on happy-path and core user workflows.

  • Usability Checks: Verify the platform meets basic usability and consistency standards.

Issue Identification & Reporting

  • Bug Detection: Identify and reproduce basic functional and visual defects.

  • Detailed Documentation: Log bugs clearly and accurately in our issue tracking system (e.g., Jira), including steps to reproduce, actual results, and expected results.

  • Issue Verification: Re-test and verify fixes implemented by the development team to confirm issues are resolved.

Demo Environment Management

  • Environment Updates: Regularly update and maintain the content and configuration of internal staging and demo environments.

  • Data Preparation: Load and configure necessary test data, scenarios, and user accounts for internal testing, demos, and training sessions.

  • Environment Readiness: Ensure demo environments are stable, accurately reflect the current product version, and are ready for use by internal stakeholders.

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate testing status and basic findings to Product Owners and the development team.

  • Provide feedback on the clarity and effectiveness of existing test scripts.

Internal: Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, QA peers, UX/UI Designers, Data Engineers, Customer Success
External: None (role is not client-facing)


Profil recherché

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Basic Computer Literacy: Comfort working with web-based applications, browser developer tools (e.g., inspecting the console), and common operating systems.

  • Issue Tracking: Familiarity with or quick ability to learn defect tracking tools (e.g., Notion).

  • Manual Testing: Strong ability to follow instructions and execute test plans precisely.

  • Data Entry: Proficient in preparing and managing basic test data.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Highly Detail-Oriented: Exceptional focus on small details and differences to catch minute issues.

  • Disciplined and Rigorous: Strong ability to stick to processes and complete tasks thoroughly.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Relevant college degree or demonstrable interest in technology, product quality, or financial applications.

  • Environment: Experience or strong desire to work in a technology-driven company, preferably SaaS.

  • Nice to Have: Basic awareness or interest in ESG, sustainable finance, or data-heavy products.

It is possible to work at the London or Paris office (one of the two, but not both).
