Job Summary
The Laboratory Assistant assists the Laboratory in Charge in:
Conduct laboratory tests and analyse results
Prepare samples for testing using various laboratory equipment.
Maintain all laboratory records and documents
Adhere to correct procedures, policies and health/safety guidelines
Maintain laboratory equipment and work area as Veolia’s standards
Assist with administrative and procurement tasks when needed
Provide assistance to operations for in process control and monitoring
Tasks
Laboratory
Perform the daily activities of the laboratory
Monitor and ensure the quality of service to maximise process performances
Determine the water quality KPI and parameters and produce relevant reports
Tools and Methods Management
Develop standard operational procedures and ensure compliance to the existing ones
Develop dashboards and monitoring tools to improve the laboratory analysis
Health and Safety
Ensure compliance with QHSE rules and demonstrate exemplarity in this regard
Qualification and Experience
Degree in Chemistry
Experience in laboratory for industrial waste and water quality
Knowledge and Skills
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Knowledgeable about Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office
High level of interest in continuous industrial processes and water networks
Other Requirements
Hold a valid driving licence for light motor vehicles
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
