Role and responsibilities :

The IT Infrastructure Engineer has multiple roles and needs to have a well-rounded knowledge of software development, scripting languages and background in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining IT Infrastructure and web services in the Cloud by using the latest technologies.

The duties also include system design, advanced networking, infrastructure as a code (IaC), Software engineering, Cloud Security, automation, and tooling that supports the continuous improvement of the SDLC. 

Additionally, the DevOps philosophy is a key change in VWT IT culture, and the mission of the Infrastructure & Operations team, as well of the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer,  is to promote this culture, the tools, and practices in order to increase the organization ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity:  evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes. 

•  Design and operate cloud architectures for cloud-based applications, mainly using AWS and GCP

• Accelerate the way the Corporate IS&T deploys and monitors application stacks

• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure

• Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes

• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

• Ensure all the IT systems that support the business function efficiently

• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix document problems, and implement preventive measures

• Coordinate with subcontractors (local, global and offshore partners)

• Follow iterative and quick-delivery methodologies, such as Agile and Lean startup

• Participate in technology watch team effort

Salary per month (information only) between 600 and 1645.58 euros according to degree, age and experience

Period: 2 - 3 years

Education:

• Master degree or a 3-year diploma in Engineering

Technical skills and Requirements :

• Amazon Web services, Google Cloud Platform

• Security (certificates, encryption, devices security)

• Network and System skills (Active Directory, DNS, IPv6, Routing)

• Good knowledge of Cloud serverless architectures and Containers

• Good knowledge in web dev (Python, NodeJS, ..) and Database (PosgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) 

• Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such asGit, GitLab, Github, CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible.

• Comfortable with Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Development, Lean Startup concepts

• Time and project management
