As part of our international growth, we are looking for someone to develop our business in Europe as a Regional Sales Manager based in the DACH region.

Reporting into the CMO, your responsibilities will be:

  • Generating business with new clients
  • Providing long-term support to clients within the e-mobility industry (i.e., electric bike makers; fleet operators; and public sector operators, particularly city public services)
  • Managing the whole sales cycle, acting as the main point of contact for our clients
  • Identifying key stakeholders in target client organisations, and getting in contact with them
  • Identifying project opportunities and analysing client needs
  • Carrying out feasibility analyses
  • Drafting and presenting proposals
  • Closing deals
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Managing accounts throughout projects and following up to generate new opportunities
  • Participating in building strategic partnerships, particularly with engine manufacturers
  • Networking within relevant trade bodies, clusters, and other relevant organisations
  • Carrying out competitor analysis
  • Participating in relevant fairs
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with Velco’s sales team and regularly reporting on sales

Other information:

  • This role will be based within the DACH region, ideally in Germany. Velco has a Gmbh and we’ll do a German contract
  • You’ll be able to be based at home or to work from a WeWork-type office, depending on your preference
  • Regular travels required to meet with clients in the region and in other European countries
  • Visit to France (Nantes) once a month to meet with the Velco team

Profil recherché

Must have:

  • New business development experience, you’re familiar with NBD techniques and enjoy opening doors
  • Experience selling a relatively complex product, which requires a strong understanding of technical aspects, in order to best support clients
  • Experience doing business internationally
  • Very good level of English to engage with both clients and the Velco team

Nice to have:

  • Experience doing business within the DACH region and Germany in particular
  • Experience working within our market, i.e., bicycle brands, connected vehicles brands, e-bike engine or battery manufacturers
  • Experience working in the digital or IoT sector
  • Experience working in the electronics sector
