At Trustpair, we believe in collegial intelligence and trust the skills of our contributors. When Basecamp published the book about their product methodology “Shape Up: Stop Running in Circles and Ship Work that Matters”, we were in first place to test it.
Roadmap is organized around a 7 weeks Cycle, 5 to Shape and Build features and 2 for small Cooldowns. Engineers become real actors of the definition of features and not just builders.
During Cooldown, we change focus and pace from big topics to smaller items and quick wins.
As teams scaled, we tried to find the best organization to make teams as autonomous as possible and real decision makers. Instead of utopian feature teams, we are testing Cellular Organization where teams reshape and adapt at all times to the context like an organic cell would.
