Role Overview

This role sits within Trainline Partner Solutions.(TPS), which is our B2B arm of the business providing industry leading rail and technology solutions to make the complex world of rail and ticketing simple.

We are looking for a Sales Manager to drive growth of our global distribution business selling to new logo clients. Reporting the to the Head of Commercial – Europe, you will deliver against the sales strategy targeting customers in the business and leisure travel sectors, across assigned geographies.

Responsibilities

Working with the Head of Commercial to help drive the strategy and meeting/exceeding targets for Global Distribution, by contribution from your designated geographies

Implement strategic territory planning and forecasting, working with Commercial Finance and Commercial Operations for alignment and ensuring commercial viability in all that we do

Working with cross functional teams, you are responsible for ensuring all deals are commercially aligned, driving efficiencies in ways of working, strategic direction and meeting customer demand

To meet or exceed targets. Where you have line management responsibility, you will also be responsible for ensuring individual targets are also met or exceeded

Where sales are closed, you are responsible for the smooth and swift handover to relevant internal teams such as Service Delivery, and Account Management

Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders

Provide regular market feedback to internal teams such as Product, Customer Solutions and Supply to ensure they have the latest market insight to stay relevant with customer needs

Collaborate closely with Commercial Operations to analyse results, find opportunities to improve systems and processes, and ultimately drive positive commercial change and sales effectiveness

Be an ambassador of Trainline and all that we have to offer, keeping your finger on the pulse in terms or market, client’s and competitors.

Attend industry events to represent Trainline, industry network


Profil recherché

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum 5+ years’ ecommerce sales experience with experience selling complex products and solutions

Travel sector experience preferable but not mandatory

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in European markets, ideally France or Italy

Outcome focused and highly target driven – able to evidence consistent achievement of targets from previous roles

Commercially astute with

Strong negotiator and experience in closing complex deals swiftly and effectively for all parties

CRM experience – preferably Salesforce

Able to influence, motivate and communicate cross-functionally and across all levels

Experience and comfortable working in rapidly changing environments

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced changing environment

Fluent in French and English is required, an additional European language desirable
