As Marketing Campaigns Manager, Trainline France, you will be responsible for coordinating all Trainline marketing activities in France including product launches, campaigns, train partner requests and BAU marketing, all with the overall aim of driving our business growth

Based in Paris, you will collaborate closely with many stakeholders across the company to meet your goals, including the brand, growth, product, commercial and finance teams. You will also work directly with our train partners, in particular SNCF, to ensure Trainline activity is closely aligned.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of Trainline France marketing plan
Based on Trainline France’s overall strategy, own the marketing plan for France, ensuring all activities are clearly shown. This includes:

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Supply, Product and Marketing to ensure the roadmap reflects our overall marketing strategy.
  • Highlighting potential messaging conflicts and proposing solutions to address them
  • Identifying upcoming resource constraints and proposing solutions to address them
  • Regularly communicating the marketing plan to marketing channels responsible for execution (Brand, CRM, DAPS, PPC, SEO, etc.)

Interface with train partners
Be the primary marketing counterpart to our train partners, in particular SNCF, working closely with the supply team. This includes:

  • Building great relationships
  • Being aware of new developments as early as possible and getting required information on a timely basis
  • Identifying future opportunities for collaboration
  • Negotiating, building and steering the marketing plan (including budget definition and KPIs)
  • Being responsible for the successful implementation of marketing commitments made to train partners within our ‘accord commercial’
  • Sharing appropriate data with train partners to ensure a successful partnership.

Campaign implementation
In collaboration with the brand team, lead the implementation of our integrated seasonal campaigns across all channels.

Play the role of project manager to ensure that communication is consistent across all touchpoints. Ensure relevant channel owners are fully briefed at all times and that implementation is on track, course correcting where necessary.

Market intelligence
Together with other Trainline staff based in Paris, feed back local market intelligence to Trainline headquarters in London and ensure the French market ‘comes to life’ for the rest of the organisation.

Communication of product changes (‘product marketing’)
Be responsible for the seamless communication of product changes to our customers, be they externally driven (e.g., SNCF fare changes) or internally driven (e.g., the release of new product features.)

Play the role of project manager to ensure that communication is consistent across all touchpoints, meeting often challenging deadlines. Ensure relevant channel owners are fully briefed at all times and that implementation is on track, course correcting where necessary.


Profil recherché

Person Requirements:

  • Proven generalist marketing, marketing planning and go-to-market experience, preferably within a B2C eCommerce business.

  • Strong knowledge of marketing channels (e.g SEO, PPC, CRM, Paid etc)

  • Strong project management skills (preferably in a marketing context)

  • Excellent relationship skills, ideally with colleagues in different countries.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French (native or equivalent) and very good communication skills in English.

  • Analytical thinker with a demonstrably broad business perspective.

  • Displays energy, creativity and innovation.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment; appetite and motivation to raise the bar.
