As an R&D Project Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our clinical centers, medical device clients, pharmaceutical and biotech partners, overseeing projects in AI-driven digital health, precision medicine, and biomarker discovery. You will be responsible for aligning clinical and business objectives, managing complex, interdisciplinary initiatives, and ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders. This role demands a combination of strong project management skills, exceptional client-facing capabilities, and a deep understanding of the value and application of AI and machine learning in healthcare. 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Management 

• Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans (including objectives, timelines, budgets, and resources) across multiple teams and workstreams. 

• Create and update Gantt charts and dashboards to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 

• Define, document, and ensure delivery of project milestones and deliverables on time and within budget. 

• Facilitate resource planning, budget tracking, and status updates for all stakeholders. 

• Establish governance frameworks and program processes for successful collaborations. 

• Ensure compliance with quality systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements (including GDPR). 

Client & Stakeholder Engagement 

• Act as the main interface for pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical centers and medical device clients, ensuring clear communication and expectation management 

• Organize and lead regular meetings with clients and partners to discuss progress, obstacles, and solutions. 

• Engage and influence stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, KOLs, academic partners, and external collaborators, to ensure project success. 

• Communicate project status, risks, and escalations to leadership in a concise and effective manner. 

Scientific & Technical Collaboration 

• Understand and analyze client use cases, pain points, and propose solutions leveraging AI and machine learning technologies. 

• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into projects, particularly in R&D, product development and Life Sciences projects. 

• Execute and interpret data analyses in collaboration with clinical experts to refine AI/ML algorithms and address scientific and clinical challenges. 

• Ensure data compliance and integrity in all interactions and analyses. 

Teamwork 

• Demonstrate effective, interpersonal, and communication skills to foster a sense of community and collaboration among project teams. 

• Advise and support project teams, providing guidance on project management best practices and life sciences expertise. 

• Bring structure and agility to dynamic, evolving project environments.

• Master’s degree or higher in AI & Life Sciences, Medical Device, Business, or a related field. 

• 3–5+ years’ experience in consulting, pharma, biotech, CRO, or medical device industry, with proven project management experience in R&D, real-world evidence, market access, or innovation domains. 

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English and French. 

• Strong project planning skills; proficiency in Project Management tools  

• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with healthcare professionals and academic partners. 

• Analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving and risk mitigation abilities. 

• Sound business case development, budgeting, and resource allocation skills. 

• Understanding of AI, machine learning, and their applications in life sciences. 

• Knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements (GDPR), and compliance. 

• Ability to work autonomously and deep-dive into complex scientific topics. 

• Good collaborative and negotiation skills; business and political acumen. 

• Knowledge in imaging is a plus.
