ROLE

As an Operations Manager Senior you are part of the Kitchen Operations Team.

The Ops Manager Senior is responsible for maintaining a high level of operational performance and driving the P&L of his country according to the company objectives. The role is about creating a dynamic team and helping build, deploy and scale an operating model that is poised to disrupt the restaurant industry.

This role reports into the Head of Kitchen Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kitchen Management Team

  • Responsible for the management of the Kitchen Managers, Assistant Managers and Ops Manager Associates (if relevant)
  • Hire, train, retain and develop the Kitchen Management team
  • Define, track and assess Kitchen Management team objectives and results
  • Responsible for overviewing the recruitment and training for the new cooks joining the company
  • Work with HR teams to grow and develop people from within
  • Minimise turnover especially at Kitchen Managers and Assistant Managers levels

Kitchen Performance

  • Responsible for driving Kitchens performance on your market and ensuring a best in class customer experience
  • You organise weekly and monthly meetings with the Kitchen Management team to drive the performance up and build the Taster Tribe spirit
  • Optimise Kitchens performance by tracking, analysing and reaching a high level of operational performance (rating, prep time;)
  • Accountable for P&L on your market by driving the operating margin of each site according to company strategy (revenue, labour costs, food costs, etc.)
  • Oversee plannings, rotas & staff management by ensuring smooth operations according to labour cost targets

Kitchen Operations

  • Operationally responsible for concepts & kitchens launches
  • Manage stocks according to internal procedures & tools (inventories, ordering, receptions, waste, portioning, etc.)
  • Responsible for the right implementation, training, use, follow-up and improvement of procedures & tools created for the Kitchens
  • Organise, realize and follow up on regular audits to ensure Taster standards are met
  • Ensure that all Kitchens operate with the requested Hygiene, Food & Staff Safety standards, as well as Taster Standards
  • Guarantee the good running of the Kitchens environment (landlords, facility, maintenance)
  • Ensuring a strong relation with the account managers of the delivery platforms present on his market to smooth operations
  • Improve operations fluidity by interacting with Customer Success Manager

Profil recherché

YOU

  • Managed recruitment and rotas for a multi sites company in food industry
  • You have experience in a fast pace kitchen environment and leading a section/team to deliver great food
  • Ambitious and driven to build something scalable whilst maintain high standards
  • Resilient, responsive and provided with a high adaptability to cope live business
  • Used to run kitchen(s), doesn’t want to work in a traditional restaurant kitchen but be part of a fast paced growing food tech business
  • Excited by start-up culture and development
  • Passion for Food
  • English language (written and spoken)

MAIN DIPLOMAS AND LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an Operations Manager in food industry
  • Bac+2 (BTS MUC, Formation Hôtellerie, etc.)
  • Formation HACCP is an advantage
