We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced  Transaction Monitoring Team Manager to join our fast-growing team.

In this role, you’ll dedicate approximately 30% of your time to hands-on Transaction Monitoring—reviewing alerts, handling edge cases—and 70% to managing and developing the team.

You will manage a team of around 10 Analysts, with the team expected to grow as Swan continues to scale.

Reporting to Maxime, our Chief Service Officer, you’ll work closely with Alexandra, our Head of KYC, to scale and strengthen our AML operations. You’ll play a key role in building a best-in-class team and ensuring our processes remain robust, efficient, and compliant as we grow.

Main Tasks

Team Management and Training:

  • Lead a team of ~10 Analysts, with the team expected to grow.

  • Oversee daily operations, track KPIs, and manage team workflows.

  • Lead task planning and resource allocation.

  • Onboard and train new team members on TM procedures and best practices.

  • Provide continuous coaching and development support to the team.

  • Ensure operational excellence through regular quality reviews and performance monitoring.

  • Supervise and scale the outsourcing provider (2 resources at the moment)

Scale & Optimize:

  • Addressing significant challenges related to scaling and optimizing current Transaction Monitoring processes, workflows, and tools while collaborating with product, engineering, operations, risk & compliance, and sales departments.

  • Ensuring the implementation and enhancement of new processes, fostering energy and momentum with various stakeholders to ensure consistent, scalable operations.

  • Developing and implementing processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) process.

  • Contributing to the maintenance and updating of operational procedures related to AML processes. Contribute to documentation related to Transaction Monitoring.

  • Challenge Swan’s risk frameworks and contribute to improve the transaction scoring engine.

Production:

  • Running quality controls.

  • Addressing edge cases escalated by the team.

  • Ensuring compliance with procedures, internal policies, and applicable legislation.


Profil recherché

You’re a great match if:

  • You have significant experience as a Head of/Lead in the Transaction Monitoring/AML/Financial Security area. Experience in fintech, payment, banking, or within a start-up/scale-up or fast-paced work environment would be a plus.

  • You possess strong leadership and team management skills.

  • You have a strong understanding of the AML/CFT regulatory framework.

  • You enjoy streamlining internal processes to improve outcomes and scalability.

  • You’re data-driven, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • You know how to prioritize in a fast-paced production environment and can manage urgent cases effectively.

  • You’re proactive, hands-on, and love getting things done.

  • You’re fluent in English, and speaking another European language (French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, or Portuguese) is a strong plus.
