🔎 In a nutshell, what are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate and brillant Tech Team Lead with a strong expertise in low-level backend programming (notably Rust) and a sharp business sense. You will have to manage a growing team of 3-6 people.

This role is critical for Stockly’s growth and is at the crossroads of our tech and our business.

🥊 Challenges ahead for you

  1. Perfectly understand business and operational issues. Interact with both tech and non-tech teams on a daily basis

  2. Translate operational and commercial challenges into technical solutions (e.g. delivery specifications, cross-countries VAT rates, partners-specific conditions…)

  3. Manage the various tech frameworks of our partners and make sure it integrates well with our tech

  4. Ensure the fast paced on-time delivery of a growing team, critical for the business

🏈 About your future Team

Your role will be central at Stockly and you will interact with many teams (notably Operations, Key Account Managers, Finance, etc.).

Your core team will be Integrations. This team is technically integrating our partners systems with our product (e.g. importing data feeds, connecting to APIs, connecting to custom frameworks, building connectors)

⚙️ Your missions

  • Manage a team of 3-6 people, ensuring the day-to-day delivery

  • Structure both short-term and multi-months integration projects into sequenceS of “2-3 days tasks” easy to delegate

  • Own, with other stakeholders, the prioritizations of partners to integrate (“Who should we plug to Stockly first?”)

  • Match the objectives in terms of number and types of integrations expected to support the growth of the business

  • Support other teams (e.g. commercial teams) on tech related discussions with our partners or leads

  • Build strong, easy-to-understand and reliable documentation about integrations

Every team has a daily meeting to align on priorities and solve issues ⇒ You won’t be left alone!

Every Monday we have a global weekly meeting where every team shares what they are working on and what they will do for the coming week ⇒ You will have visibility on the whole company!

Every quarter we have our OKR meeting (Objectives, Key Results) where each team shows the results of the previous quarter and the objectives of the following one ⇒ You will see the company grow and your own role inside of it!

Profil recherché

Background

  • You come from a top engineering school, and have done a “Classe Prépa”

  • You spent 4-7 years in a top-tier tech start-up/scale-up or in a top large tech company

  • You have started in tech as a low-level backend developer for 2-4 years and then moved to Team Lead, including management, over the past 2-3 years.

Hard skills

  • You are fluent in both French 🇫🇷 and English 🇬🇧

  • You are fully proficient in a low-level backend programming language, preferably Rust (but can be C++, C, C#, Scala, Haskell or Ocaml)

  • You have experience in management

  • You are very structured, organized and good at synthesizing

  • You love mathematics, logic and algorithms

Soft skills

  • Smart, curious and a fast learner: you don’t know everything, but you can learn anything

  • Tenacious: you never give up even when it is complex, you pay attention to details and have a hands-on approach

  • Ambitious: you are ready toreshape the global e-commerce landscape with us

  • Nice, humble and friendly: you love learning from others and humbly sharing knowledge with them. You are able to interact with both tech and non-tech/business profiles

  • Autonomous and hard working: you know how to manage your tasks independently and ask for help when needed

Déroulement des entretiens

🏎️ Our process goes fast, we are reactive and we adapt to your availabilities. We can typically go through the whole process in 2-3 weeks:

  1. 20min video-call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team - To understand your background and motivations, and reply to your questions

  2. 1-hour face to face (or remote) interview with Oscar our CTO - To have a deeper discussion

  3. Half-a-day immersion at Stockly to meet all the team (on site) - Meet the team, put yourself in the shoes of a Stockler, ask all your questions
