We are looking for our Chief of Staff to the COO intern. While the role of the CEO is to define the vision and show the direction, our Splio COO practically draws the plan, ensures it is understood by everyone and measures our performance. The COO job is therefore a lot about OKRs, metrics and governance:

• How do we plan our efforts?
• How do we make sure we’re on the same page?
• How to measure and communicate if we’re on track? What to do if we’re not?

It is therefore not the typical COO/CEO right-hand internship: it is not about Sales, not about Growth, not about Finance! It’s about organizing and monitoring company performance. You must understand the COO job as that of a real Operating System, as it is in a phone or a computer: the central part that makes sure all the components work together well for an optimized performance.

This internship is therefore at the crossroads of people, performance and data. You will work hand in hand with the COO, ComEx members, and all practices of a SaaS company. It requires the mindset of a consultant.

Your role, as the Chief of Staff to the COO, will therefore be to help him:

• Follow M&A targets.
• Work on HR topics, including people empowerment.
• Organize different types of meetings (Board meetings, ComEx meetings, all-hands etc.).
• Understand how different committees work and interact (information and action).
• Follow OKRs and updates.
• Streamline flows of information and actions in a dedicated tool (we think processes mean nothing if they are not streamlined and enforced through dedicated workflows). We have the feeling that Notion is the perfect tool to do that.


Profil recherché

We need the following skills:

• English (native-speaking, or almost) is mandatory. French is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Notion.so skills are mandatory (or at least good knowledge + a strong will to progress).
• If Thinking In Systems (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3828902-thinking-in-systems) is your preferred book, you may be the one.
• Internship agreement mandatory

You can be studying math, science, or liberal arts: we don’t care. But we need you to be extremely analytical, resourceful, determined and love juggling with conceptual objects.


Déroulement des entretiens

The process will include :

  • a quick 5-10’ discussion w/ HR people (or COO).
  • Then a business case that you can do from home (1.5 hours).
  • And if positive, 2 interviews: one with the COO + one with HR (maybe together).
