Descriptif du poste

We are looking for a UX Designer to join our product team !

We are building two products that bring their share of challenges. Our market intelligence (MI) product offers insights on the maritime market through public data collection, interpretation & aggregation. Our smart fleet management (SFM) product is designed for specific offshore projects, and as such a new web application is configured to every new client. On SFM we combine automatic data (vessel location, weather, fuel consumption) with actual live reporting data from vessel captains (reporting in app). Crossing those inputs, we can deliver custom & powerful analytics to support our client’s operations management. The two biggest challenges for those products when it comes to UX are:

  • How to guide users through rather complex analytics dashboards in order to help them find the insights they are looking for? This calls for well designed menus and pages, data storytelling and intuitive chart manipulation tools. This is needed on both MI and SFM, though the approach may differ between the two.

  • For vessel captains that are reporting on our platform, how to make sure the interface is convenient enough to integrate seamlessly with their already dense daily routine. This challenge is specific to SFM.

On both those products, we are looking for a skilled UX designer to help us improve our product adherence and retention.

Some practical notes:

  • Our product & tech team is split into 4 squads and you will be working with each of them whenever critical UX input is needed.

  • We are using Figma, and one mid/long term mission will be to create a design system to improve our product homogeneity along with our delivery efficiency.

The Role.

  • Explicit the user experience and define visual design for your proposed solutions.

  • Follow user research techniques and competitive analysis to produce insights and translate them into creative design ideas.

  • Design flows and interfaces that are effective and usable.

  • Produce detailed specs for your interaction models and UI, collaborate with engineers to communicate your thinking and to follow up on the implementation of your solutions.

  • Actively participate in building a scalable design system in order to improve consistency, execution, and the overall experience of our products.

  • Grow with the team. As part of our ambition for continuous improvement, you will engage with your peers on a daily basis and work closely with various functions (tech, product, growth)

- You have strong analytical skills, you have methods to break down problems into pieces, extract product characteristics that are required to match customers’ expected performance, and formulate them into UI solutions.

- You have strong design “craft” skills. You are fluent when it comes to building high-definition UI, and make your work scalable (design system).

- You are comfortable working with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Zeplin or Invision.

- You have great communication skills. You are confident when it comes to getting people buying in around your proposed solution(s).

- You have at least 3 years of hands-on UX design experience.
