Descriptif du poste

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.

It’s an exciting time to join Sorare as we scale our engineering presence both in Paris and NYC to expand to more sports as well as scaling our current infrastructure.

You should have a strong understanding of cloud-enabled production systems supporting mobile and web applications. You will be working on the core infrastructure of a live game with hundreds of thousands of monthly active players.

All our team members have a say in the shape of the product and you will attend weekly sprint meetings to discuss our roadmap and priorities. Things move quickly at Sorare as we work toward building a unique and category leading game!

You don’t need to be a sport expert, a gaming addict or crypto enthusiast to work with us. We're looking for teammates who like to get things done, work in a fast-paced environment at a hyper-growth company, take ownership and autonomy for their work, and expect to learn a lot along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement & operate the production systems hosting our live games
  • Participate into the scaling of our global infrastructure
  • Seek for continuous improvements to instrument, observe and monitor our systems
  • Participate into our on-call program, manage production incidents and contribute to post-mortems
  • Build tools to make our engineering team life easier
  • Ensure that the Infrastructure best practices are followed by the broader team
  • Partner with software engineers to deploy new features, define metrics and SLOs

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in site reliability or software engineering
  • 4+ years managing or leading SRE/DevOps teams
  • Experience building and operating production systems at a massive scale
  • Strong understanding of cloud environments (preferably AWS)
  • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Terraform is a plus)
  • Hands-on scripting experience in Python or Ruby (Golang is a plus)
  • Deep interest in people and mentoring
  • Experience with agile development practices
  • Self-sufficient without the need for daily direction from your manager
  • Eager to learn and work in an environment with new technologies and paradigms
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Sorare ranges from $140,000 - $210,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Sorare offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, vision, dental, parental leave, an unlimited vacation policy, 401(k) plan, fitness reimbursements, commuter benefits and contribution to lunch expenses!
