Our Strategy department is a key accelerator for Smart AdServer Group as we aim at transforming our business and organization to increase our growth rate. We focus on bringing together the best of our products, services, and innovation resources to deliver more impact in the advertising technology market.

Within our Strategy department, the Business Strategy team develops growth strategies founded on customer needs, industry orientation, and market data and drives these strategic initiatives across the group and with business and strategic partners (acquisitions, partnerships, and investments).

What you'll do ✏️

  • Strategy Development:
  • Develop an understanding of Smart’s product portfolio, strategic priorities, competitive position, gaps, and potential opportunities.

    Drive evaluation of Smart strategic alternatives (e.g., buy, build, partner) and acquisition alternatives.

    Identify and develop growth and pricing strategies with business leaders across our products and services portfolio 

    Ensure product roadmap, go-to-market, integration plans, and related issues are considered.

  • Research, Analysis, & Framing:
  • Conduct market-based research by collecting and interpreting information (e.g., financial statements, reports, analyses, stakeholder feedback, expert calls) including researching existing business and identifying new spaces for Smart

    Conduct analyses (e.g., financial modeling) of strategic and quantitative business opportunities and leverages analyses of others to synthesize information.

    Create initial framing for strategic questions with limited input and deliver structured output from analyses; assists junior colleagues with framing as needed.

  • Problem Solving & Insight:
  • Creates frameworks and methodologies to drive problem-solving and insights. Synthesizes findings into insights across projects, including implications that inform business decisions.

    Leverages insights to develop recommendations and seeks to provide thought leadership (e.g., trend identification, implications of competitor moves) around potential future growth opportunities and strategic issues for Smart.

  • Communication:
  • Build end-to-end storylines and create outlines across multiple projects for junior colleagues to leverage.

    Communicate and advocates findings, insights, and recommendations to senior business leaders to facilitate discussions and decision-making.

    Convey viewpoints through written documents (e.g., memos, reports) and is versatile in designing and conveying compelling presentations.

  • Project Leadership:
  • Contributes to large Strategy projects and defines and manages small projects with guidance from sponsors as needed.

    Manages projects independently and/or in collaboration with an analyst.

    About you 💪

  • 5+ years experience as a consultant in a strategy consulting firm or in Investment banking with a focus on technology space, advertising technology experience a plus.
  • Experience defining and/or implementing growth strategies for high technology and/or professional services companies.
  • Proven high-quality problem solving and outstanding analytical skills with an affinity for numbers, strategic mindset, creative thinking paired with a hands-on attitude.
  • Experience creating business cases and economic models.
  • Proactive and outcome-oriented team player with a structured and independent way of working and experience in managing projects.
  • Track record of developing easy-to-understand and highly impactful strategies to solve important business challenges.
  • Eager to learn and quickly apply new information and skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and complex environments and experience working across geographies and in an international, multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience in working with senior business leaders.
  • Bachelor’s, Masters, or MBA preferred.
