This means that we rely on massively scalable, widely distributed, highly available, and efficient software systems; the platform deals with over 100 billions requests per day and above 40 Gbps of network traffic.

Our innovation team based in Paris, Krakow and Nantes is composed of 90 straightforward and energetic engineers working in an Agile environment and ready to tackle the most complex technical challenges.

Your mission 👇

Reporting to the OPS Team Lead, you will join a team of engaged and curious individuals that share a passion for scaling an hybrid infrastructure and ensuring high availability in a fast-growth context!

What you’ll do ✏️

• Grow and maintain Smart’s worldwide infrastructure.
• Ensure the effective operation of servers, network, backups and security (1 200+ servers on 6 DC including 3 in Paris, 1 in Miami, 1 in LA and 1 Cloud POP in APAC)
• Strengthen relationships with our top IT service providers
• Automating frequent network / server operations
• Handling existing or new middleware technical stacks configurationMonitoring key system metrics of the platform
• Participate to the platform transformation by leveraging public cloud approach for strategic R&D projects
• Push your ideas on any new projects (cloud, security, network optimizations…)

About you 💪

• You have 3+ years’ experience as a Linux System Engineer, ideally in a demanding production environment based on high availability and performance
• You know at least one of the following network and middleware stacks, and are willing to learn on the others :-) : switch, firewall, HAproxy, Redis, Hadoop, Aerospike, Prometheus, Grafana, RabbitMQ, Kafka, ClickHouse, Docker, Kubernetes
• You demonstrated ability and interest in working in an Agile environment and on configuration management technologies such as Ansible
• You have experience with public cloud management through DevOps principles / automate everywhere
• You are at ease prioritizing tasks
• You are a hands-on problem-solver
• Fluent English is required
