Our CEO is facing new challenges in Shipup’s maturity stage in the current context:
Our Chief of Staff’s core mission will be to improve the CEO’s efficiency as well as that of the Executive Committee (all top managers within the company). Their efficiency is paramount to the design and execution of our strategy, thus our success. This role is a key opportunity to be instrumental in the future of the company and to sit at the table where decisions are made.
Sit in on Investor Board meetings. Own agenda, materials, minutes and follow-up of Investor Board meetings. Assist our CEO in day-to-day investor relationships.
Sit in on Executive Committee and other management meetings. Own agenda, materials, minutes and follow-up
Own internal communication, especially at a company level (cross-department). Own agenda, materials, minutes and follow-up for town hall meetings.
Own OKRs, and serve as the ambassador of OKRs within the company. OKRs set a course for all teams and individuals to contribute to our long term strategic goals. They are public and transparent: each individual within the company can check the progress and contribution of all others.
Kick-start projects. Serve as the project manager from 0 to 1 for cross-department projects or projects our departments do not have resources to kick-start themselves.
Research best market practices to design and plan strategic projects.
Fill temporary gaps in the organizational chart. Be flexible enough to carry responsibility and accountability for roles not yet filled within the organizational chart.
Voice questions and concerns from any team or individual to the CEO.
Challenge the CEO’s decisions.
You’re multi-faceted:
You can be trusted by our CEO. Eventually, our CEO is confident enough to send you to any meeting to get the job done, and to give you access to his mailbox or Linkedin account.
You’re ok with being closely associated with the image, voice and decisions of our CEO.
You’re fluent in English.
You have at least 3 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm or at least 3 years in a highly cross-functional role at a high-growth startup
