Shine’s Design team

Design at Shine has been at the heart of our strategy since day one, as part of our choice to put the user at the center of our concerns. We have a team of passionate Brand and Product Designers fully integrated into our Product Team, and as we have strong ambitions for the evolution of our product, we plan to scale the team and acquire new key skills (User Research, Product Designers, etc.)

In terms of organization, we believe in squad mode: we currently have 4 product squads, Banking, Copilot, Leads and User Success, and each of these is composed of a Product Manager, a team of full-stack JS Software Engineers and one Engineering Manager, and one or two Product Designers.

The brand designers work transversally with all these squads and also work closely with our Marketing Team. 

What does joining us as Head of Design mean? 💡

You have a direct impact on the overall strategy and vision of Shine: you are the link between business, product and design strategy, you participate in the definition of the product roadmap, and you guarantee a design and user centric culture.

You manage and recruit the Brand and Product Design team: You will structure the team, mentor and help people grow in their role and career. You will report to Bruno, our CPO, and be the direct manager of 4 (2 Lead Product Designers, and 2 Brand Designers).

You are responsible for developing and maintaining our design culture: your mission is to maximize the virtuous impact of design on our clients and on the company, by structuring design processes, strengthening the link between design and other functions, and defining quality standards for the team. You will also harmonize the communication between brand and product design, and ensure the consistency of Shine's visual identity across all our media.

You are involved in delivery projects like rebuilding and implementing a more efficient design system, being hands-on with high impact Brand and Product Design projects, participating in the brand evolution, etc.

It's a match if 🤝

• You have significant managerial experience with a team of designers in a Saas design-centric company and have excellent strategic thinking skills,
• You know how to build a top performing design organization
• You have a significant UX/Product design experience as well as a very good understanding of brand design issues and the strategic link between brand, product and marketing.
• You are able to build great relationships with people from other teams, no matter the roles, backgrounds and seniority levels (from juniors to COMEX members)
• You are familiar with implementing a Design System
• You stick to Shine’s values 💛

• On top of all that, if you have experience in a tech startup or scaleup and have already had a brand designer role yourself, this is the perfect match.
