About the job

The Scaleway Startup Programs are time-limited cloud computing partnership programs designed for startups. Its purpose is to allow technical and non-technical founders to power up their new venture thanks to our public cloud infrastructure combined with technical assistance, resources, advisory and advertising, leveraging our experts and channels to ensure a smooth take off.

Scaleway is seeking to recruit a Startup Community Evangelist to support its specific expansion of the Startup Programs in Italy. You will work with your Startup Programs & Sales colleagues to grow the adoption of Scaleway’s infrastructure technology across the Italian (and Southern Europe) startup ecosystem.

We’re looking for someone who is active in the startup community to be a promoter for leads generation for the Startup Programs by Scaleway. The right person is an effective communicator with strong sales and interpersonal skills, and knows his way around Silicon Roundabout, and back :)

Minimum qualifications

  • You will be a self-starter who is motivated to work as part of a small growing team in a startup environment.
  • Possess strong communication skills to be comfortable in speaking to groups of people at events as an “evangelist” for this exciting product set.
  • Demonstrated ability to start/participate in a Startup and/or Dev. community, Speaking engagements,
  • Demonstrated relevant Social Media Influencer status (Twitter followers)
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Knowledge of business development, entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem is a must
  • Native/Fluent Italian and very good command of English (or French)
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Success-driven with a strong work ethic
  • Professional, energetic, positive attitude
  • IT skills are a plus
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure
  • Responsibilities

  • Help define the Strategy & Execute on the Plan for raising awareness of our Startup Programs as well as our cloud technologies among founders, developers and DevOps professionals both on-line and in-person (events, meet-ups ).
  • Source startups for the programs
  • Participate in discussions to articulate the benefits and use cases of the Startup Programs by Scaleway to relevant communities and projects.
  • Actively advocate for Scaleway in the Italian (and Southern Europe) startup communities wherever they gather, online and offline.
  • Work closely with the Head of Startup Programs, VP of Marketing and VP of Sales to lead our market education efforts
