The Business Development team is part of the Sales Department, led by the VP Sales. You will join a Sales team of roughly 30 people, quickly growing, composed of Business Developers, Customers Success Managers, Sales Development representatives, teams Channel & Public Sector and Cloud Solution Architects.
You will work closely with a SDR (Sales Development Representative) and will be supported by the sales team as well as the marketing and legal teams on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Identifying new business opportunities in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and other priority target countries for Scaleway
- Inbound and outbound campaigns (calls, emails, other activities)
- Building & structuring commercial proposals and calls for proposals
- Delivering awe-inspiring product demos and provide insightful technical answers
- Identifying and qualifying the situations requiring Cloud Solution Architects team support.
- Supporting our partners to ensure success across the Scaleway Elements ecosystem
- Responding to public tenders / RFI/RFP and bid management on complex projects
- In-depth product expertise, understanding of the communications and collaboration landscape to sell a vision for how companies can change the way they work and strengthen their culture
- Events organisation
About You
- You are an English speaker (Native or bilingual), and you are ideally fluent in one other European language.
- You have at least 5 years experience in BtoB sales and successful experience in the IT sector, ideally in cloud computing
- You love hunting down new customers
- You have some technical knowledge and understand the culture of the IT sector
- You write excellent business proposals
- You’re a master negotiator and expert in sales techniques
- You have some notions of project management
- You are methodical and organised
- You are inquisitive and always responsive
