The Team
The Network Products team develops and operates network functionalities for Scaleway’s cloud (Elements) and bare metal (Dedibox) customers. The products include Load Balancer, Private Networks and future releases which will include a complete Virtual Private Cloud offering. Our activities combine pure API/backend/worker software development and network device automation through software (aka SDN).

The Mission
We are looking for an experienced developer to build our portfolio of networking products

This covers the following activities:

• Developing new IaaS/PaaS products from scratch (API/backend/worker)
• Adding new functionalities to existing products
• Improving the testing coverage of new or existing products
• Writing technical product documentation (usage, APIs)
• Keeping code easy to maintain
• Managing the operation (Run) in weekly turns

Technical Stack: Golang, Rust, Python, Postgresql, RabbitMQ, gRPC/protobuf, Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, OpenTelemetry

Who are you and what expertise do you need?

• You have at least 5 years experience in coding, ideally in a hosting or cloud provider company.
• You have at least 5 years experience with Linux.
• You have hands-on networking knowledge (TCP/IP, HTTPS, VXLAN, BGP).
• You are inquisitive, like to study in-depth and execute in steps.
• You are not shy to propose new solutions and defend them.
• You are familiar with or strongly interested in the world of hosting and the cloud, and you are willing to learn cloud networking.
• You are a team player and willing to work hard and have fun
