Scaleway is searching for a Solutions Architect in Paris, France, to work directly with our Sales Team. Solutions Architects are the primary technical contact for our clients and prospects during the first phases of their project. They engage deeply with technical contacts and C-level in order to build Scaleway Architectures and resolves real migration challenges. We need individuals who can develop positive relationships with our customers, learn their requirements and work to bring cloud solutions that enable their success.

Your primary responsibilities will be to increase customer acquisition. You will find answers and solutions to our clients along the Sales discovery process. You should feel comfortable working in a dynamic environment and the ability to learn by trying Cloud product is important. We strongly encourage initiative as you will be a key part that links our Business and Product teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical liaison, collaborate with sales, marketing and services team to create customized presentations, demos and proof of concepts
  • Handle and resolves technical questions and challenges encountered by clients during the first phases of their projects
  • Drive proof of concept projects to success by creating a convincing story that shows our solution as a must-have that delivers quantifiable and tangible business value to our customers.
  • Take learning from the field and feed them back to improve our products, solutions and sales process.
  • After building the technical solution elevate the story so that your sales team and you can pitch effectively to C-level executives and technical teams.
  • Actively seek to understand the Cloud markets; Deep dive technically in Scaleway and learn from competitors; Share your knowledge with other Solution Architects and your Sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience as a Technical Sales Engineer in a Cloud environment or equivalent working with customers in a B2B company.
  • Experience in Cloud development, migrations, container orchestration or applications/servers.
  • Knowledge in one of the following: Infrastructure as Code, Linux system administrators, application development, Datacenter components.
  • Complete professional proficiency in French and English.

Strong consideration for profiles with one of the following:

  • Experience in data migration and large database management.
  • Experience in advance areas of Networking, Open protocols, DNS, application load balancing and Software-defined networking
  • Experience in private cloud architecture.
  • Experience in Negotiating complex deals.
