Job description

In order to accelerate our development in France and abroad, the Public Sector is becoming strategic for 2021. This is why Scaleway is looking for a Business Developer Public Sector with a good knowledge of the Cloud market.


  • The Sales Department is managed by the VP Sales and the Lead Sales for the Public Sector.
  • It is composed of Account Managers, Business Developer and Cloud Solution Architects.
  • You will work with the sales team but also with the marketing and legal teams on a daily basis.
  • Working closely with the lead salesperson for the Public Sector
  • Identifying new prospects and hunting for new accounts in the Public Sector area
  • Setting up strategies adapted to each customer and collaborating with various internal departments and/or partners (product managers, cloud solution architect, support, consulting agencies, partner integrators, etc.) to improve the offer and customer service.
  • Development of existing customers and main customers in the Public Sector
  • Understanding and using specific internal processes specific to the Public Sector
  • Handling of complex incoming calls and inbound mails related to the Public Sector and dedicated market platforms (UGAP-C3 market, etc.)
  • Management of pre-sales requests to cloud solution architects
  • Co-construction of answers with our technological partners
  • Opening of links / targeted hunting / sectorial actions
  • Responding to public tenders / RFI/RFP and bid management on complex projects

About you

  • You understand and appreciate the concepts of French or European sovereignty, strategic independence, and the recent cloud first doctrine that the government is supporting
  • You have successful experience (between 2 and 5 years) in the Public Sector in a sales role
  • You master the cloud market and you have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual French and English. Inter-team and inter-company project management skills. Defining and documenting procedures in order to standardize them comes naturally to you.
