We are seeking a laboratory scientist to join the Immmunology group in Montpellier, within Biomarkers & Clinical Bioanalyses (BCB), a global department within the Translational Medicine and Early Development unit (TMED) of Sanofi. BCB is a global group that plays a critical role in the development of new drugs, contributing to bioanalytical strategy and translational support from nonclinical to clinical. The immunology group is considered as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) which provides data and expertise in Flow Cytometry (FCM)&immunology to support pre-clinical and clinical projects of our portfolio.

Responsibilities:

In his/her work, the appointed candidate will have to set up FCM panels in order to record, analyze and interpret FCM’s data to support PharmacoDynamic (PD) assessments or/and contribute to toxicological evaluation.

In the daily laboratory work, the candidate should demonstrate knowledge and skills in solving scientific problems, and to troubleshoot.

Apart from being responsible for studies appointed to him/her, he could also be a window person interacting with study monitors, project teams to ensure that study phases are conducted in a timely manner to the highest quality standard, as well as providing scientific guidance on these topics.

He/she will be the main point of contact for all study phases conducted under his/her responsibility and will work with outsourcing operational group and CROs in order to transfer and manage external analyses efforts when necessary.

The individual in this position will support multiple projects and collaborate transversally with colleagues across the globe.

This position will work taking in account timelines, project milestones, as well as preparing reports suitable for regulatory submission, mainly to support clinical development.

Education and experience

Master.Sc. with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Degree should be in Immunology and/or Flow Cytometry.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced scientist (3-5 years) with a proven track record in immunology, using Flow Cytometry and performing immuno-phenotyping analyses, as well as setting up assays such as Receptor Occupancy quantification or Cell-Based Assays.

Experience/knowledge in the regulatory landscape related to GCP/GCLP knowledge, as well as in relevant guidance documents (FDA/EMA/ICH, etc.) would be considered as a plus.

Specific skills and competencies

This position requires a highly motivated, creative, and autonomous individual capable of collaborating within, and across teams.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required. English thorough knowledge, both spoken and written is mandatory.

The candidate should have theoretical&experimental experience using flow cytometers, setting FCM panels and performing immunophenotyping analyses.

Additional experiences such as knowledge of cell culture techniques and electronic data management would be a plus. The Immunology group work in France, so French will be considered as a plus.
