Our Team

Sanofi Internal Audit (SIA) and Risk Management (RM) reports to the Chief Executive Officer and the Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Sanofi Risk Management is responsible for the design, maintenance, and dissemination of the enterprise risk management program that enables management of operations and functions to identify and respond to the most significant risks relevant to their area of responsibility. Sanofi Risk Management team coordinates a network of risk managers in the various Global Business Units and Functions and helps the risk leaders and risk sponsors to structure their risk mitigation programs and follow-up indicators.

Sanofi Risk Management enables the Audit Committee to fulfil its obligations under the rules of the Board of Directors by reporting Sanofi’s risk management activities and risk profile periodically as agreed with the Committee.

Job Description

Reporting solid line to the ‘SIA Digitalization and Data Analytics Head’, the ‘Risk Management Data Analyst Lead’ will actively contribute to the development and implementation of Data Analytical and Digitalization activities in Risk Management by supporting the Risk Management team.

He/She will support the Risk Management team in Data Management by identifying

  • Sustainable sources of information across Sanofi organization that can be leveraged to allow monitoring of Sanofi significant risks
  • Meaningful sources of information outside of Sanofi to allow a better understanding of Sanofi environment in relation to significant Sanofi risks
  • Information already existing or under construction assets such as the Snowflake data lake 

He/She will design and deliver the Risks Management Digital Roadmap by

  • Delivering the roadmap in coordination with the RM team
  • Ensuring a strong alignment with the Sanofi data roadmap and SIA Digital roadmap 

He/She will be a key enabler of a data-driven Culture Change by

  • Understanding the current challenges in Risk monitoring
  • Building consistent, trustable, and sustainable monitoring of identified risks based on existing data within Sanofi

He/She will be an innovation enabler by

  • Scouting best practices across Sanofi and from external sources such as our peers, professional forums, and events
  • Keeping in mind state of the art in terms of Digital Risk Management best practices, such as ‘artificial intelligence’, ‘predictive analytics’, ‘machine learning’ for future usage

Finally, he/she should act as a mentor and trainer to all Risks Managers within the Sanofi Risk Management network to develop data analytics expertise. Key objectives are

  • Drive data analytics activities at RM Team level
  • Actively participate to the RM activities
  • Participate and contribute actively to ensure a coordination of global data analytics activities within Sanofi Internal Audit & Risk Management
  • Develop Data Analytics related support for and adherence of the Risks Managers

Education and work experience

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
  • A minimum of six years of professional work experience is required, ideally with at least 2 years of experience in relation to audit, internal control, or risk management
  • Previous hands-on experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Alteryx or SQL, and SAP is required
  • Previous experience with Data analytics is required
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP (data structure, tables, fields, and process) is highly recommended
  • Knowledge of Sanofi data landscape is highly recommended
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills are required
