CONTEXT 

At Sanofi, we have a shared commitment to bring innovation and rigor to Statistical Innovation Hub (SIH) group in Biostatistics and Programming. The Statistical Innovation Hub (SIH) aims to facilitate and accelerate the realizations of suitable advanced innovative designs for pivotal development projects, through continually improving intra-eco system, expertise, technology and foundation.

As an Associate Statistical Project Leader in SIH, you will provide statistical support to advanced innovative designs, trial simulations and realization of methodology with general direction of a senior statistician in SIH (e.g., Statistical Project Leader and/or team leader and/or Group Head). You will be exposed to all therapeutic areas including Oncology (i.e., not specific to therapeutic areas) and will contribute to the project stat deliverables such as statistical analysis plan with respect to methodology details and/or simulations with general direction of a senior statistician in SIH.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide statistical support to simulations and tools development for realization of advanced innovative designs with general direction of a senior statistician in SIH (e.g., Statistical Project Leader and/or team leader and/or Group Head)
• Contribute to the project stat deliverables such as protocol and statistical analysis plan with respect to methodology details and/or simulations with general direction of a senior statistician in SIH. May provide additional statistical supports to an advanced innovative design application, when necessary
• Provide statistical technical or simulations support to novel methodology development
• Support statistical consultations on innovative methods with general direction of a senior statistician in SIH
• Promote and present the implementation of cutting-edge designs and methods through innovative application enabling and provide trainings
• Ensure productive collaborations with other key stakeholder, promoting teamwork, quality, operational efficiency and innovation
• Participate in relevant working groups or cross function initiatives

PROFILE

Required Education / Experience

• PhD / MS in statistics or related discipline with at least 3 years of pharmaceutical experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Broad knowledge and good understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques, with the capability to quickly acquire knowledge in new statistical frontiers. Demonstrated good statistical methodology / research capability is a plus
• Excellent R / SAS programming skills. Strong computational skill or knowledge in other computer languages or extensive statistical simulations experience is a plus
