In the last one year, our team grew  from 10 to 45 people and raised more than 80 millions euros to strengthen our international growth in the BNPL payment solutions market (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and more to come! 😉)

Today, we are an international, young and business-oriented team based in Paris and we pride ourselves on bringing a different mindset to the BNPL industry — and that takes a different approach: highly collaborative, flexible, and tenacious.

As part of our rapid growth, we are currently looking for our future Business Developer Manager for Southern Europe who will support our international development a participate in increasing the company’s sales by

  • Prospecting potential clients & Managing Southern European sales process
  • Identifying new sales development channels and go to market strategy
  • Promoting Pledg and our product and services

What will you be doing🎯

After a couple weeks of immersion within our Business Development team, you will focus on lead generation and business opportunities with a sales-driven perspective. Further, you will reach out to the merchants and business partners and will be particular in charge of :

  • Analyze the trends in the market and the company’s strategies to identify development opportunities and increase Pledg’s sales targets
  • Prospect organizations who fit Pledg product profile, identify decision makers, build a pipeline and generate strong interest for Pledg products.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close strategic sales for mid and large organizations.
  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to explore, plan, and execute merchant onboarding.
  • Responsible for sales pipeline management and trade marketing campaigns.
  • Identify and evaluate potential merchants to find contacts and reach out to merchants via various channels such as email, LinkedIn, phone, events, etc.
  • Support the search for new suitable business partners to increase Pledg’s networking capabilities and merchant reach
  • Participate in industry events, and run trade campaigns in order to promote Pledg’s service**

Profil recherché

You’re in the right place if

  • You have a strong communication and group presentation skills in Italian language, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear and concise terms. Additional language such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French will be an added advantage.

  • You have good basic understanding of the payment service providers landscape (PSPs/ payment gateways, acquirers, alternate payment methods) in Europe.

  • You have a strong ability to work independently to identify, evaluate, generate new business opportunities, and drive them to closure.

  • You are open-minded, curious with good analytical skills.

  • You have good writing and interpersonal skills and are willing to work in a client facing role.

  • You have a strong network/relationships and ability to build strategic relationships.

  • You have a Masters degree and a minimum 3/4 years of experience in Business Development within the payments or fintech industry. The experience can be gained from a similar role at a payment provider or at a large e-commerce merchant.

How we are hiring 🚀

  • A first one-to-one hiring conversation with our HR to better understand your career plan and to determine if you possess the requisite qualifications to fill the position and align with our organization culture and values.

  • A second interview with your our Chief Sales Officer and other team Sales members to discuss about the Business Dev role, your knowledge, your skills and your experience and help you understand our expectations.

  • A final interview with our Chief Executive Officer and our Chief of Operations to get to know you better and help you understand what our expectations are.
