Descriptif du poste

At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries with our innovative and sustainable app-only service. We do almost everything in-house, developing cutting-edge technologies and processes to ensure we continue to grow rapidly without missing a beat. If you’re a passionate Project Engineer, we’re offering you the opportunity to join the diverse team at our Paris office and make a real difference in our scaleup environment.

🥜 In a nutshell

Picnic has a fully integrated just-in-time supply chain process. Orders are picked by Shoppers at our Fulfilment Centers (FCs) and are then shipped to our Hubs. From there, the groceries are delivered to our customers with our iconic electric Picnic vehicles.

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be part of the team that’s responsible for Picnic’s physical world. You’ll work with Facility Managers, Project Engineers, the Building & Equipment Team Lead, and many other internal and external stakeholders. You’ll travel frequently between different Picnic locations in France.

With your experience and forward-thinking ideas, you’ll play a lead role in (re)building and launching highly optimized FCs, as well as coordinating (sub)contractors for Picnic’s innovative automated FC. Next to this, you’ll work on optimization and maintenance projects for the manual FCs and Hubs. The result of your work will help us to improve our operations and ensure that all of our customers continuously experience the best service. Your efforts will help all of our (3000+) employees to work safely and comfortably. You can really make an impact!

You can read the story of Alejandra, one of our current Project Engineers, here.

  • Take ownership over the launch and optimization of FCs and hubs

  • Evolve how we build: improve layouts and develop processes
  • Contact and communicate with all partners (real estate managers, building contractors, etc.) concerned with the maintenance and construction of the FCs and Hubs

⭐ About you

  • Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a technical or engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in building or engineering management
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Drivers license
  • Independent, communicative, and confident personality
  • You are very driven and always want to improve processes
  • You are operational and have a hands-on attitude
  • Willingness to travel to different locations across France
  • Work permit that allows you to work in France
