Descriptif du poste

We are looking for a Finance and Sales intern to assist the managers of the Head Office team and be managed by both the International Sales Merchandiser and the Finance manager in their various missions. You will be working in Paris directly with the Finance Manager and have frequent contacts with the subsidiary team as you will actively contribute to the daily activity of the subsidiary. This internship will be for you a great opportunity to acquire a solid transversal vision of Finance and discover the Baby and Children fashion business in an English-speaking international environment.

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Sales Merchandising

  • Compilation of various data to help the sales merchandiser to take commercial decisions on weekly/monthly/semester basis
  • Participation in sales analysis

Business Controlling:

  • Weekly and monthly report to retail and wholesale managers (turnover, KPI’s, P&L by stores…)
  • Support during monthly closings (preparation of accruals, data consistency, bank reconciliation…)
  • Participation to annual forecast and business review presentations
  • Cost control: follow up (monthly, quaterly), competitive tendering of suppliers

Treasury/Cash Management

  • Support to the Finance manager for the monthly and annual cash planning and reporting
  • Support to the Finance manager for loan & current account management

Human Ressources/Payroll

  • Preparation of store payroll (data compilation and consistency check)
  • Calculation of store monthly bonuses
  • Administration of payroll documents and employment contract (editing, archiving, digitalisation…)
  • Participation to HR KPI’s analysis

Administration

  • Suppliers: monitoring of suppliers invoices and querying
  • Weekly data extraction from Qlikview based various parameters
  • Administrative support with weekly sales presentations for International markets
  • Others: petty cash administration

If the above responsibilities are fulfilled, you will also be involved all the ongoing project of the company.


Profil recherché

Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and corporate finance either through coursework or previous internships
  • Robust organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Language: French and English
