PASQAL designs and develops quantum processing units and dedicated software tools. These innovative processors address applications that are beyond the reach of the most powerful existing supercomputers and encompass real-world challenges as well as fundamental science. Because they consume very little power, they will contribute significantly to reducing the carbon footprint of the computing industry.

Our technology is based on the considerable knowledge accumulated for decades by the Institute of Optics near Paris (IOGS / CNRS); it takes the best advantage of many recent achievements in the field of laser atom cooling, opto-electronics, vacuum, and detection systems. Based in Massy, in the heart of the quantum ecosystem south of Paris, PASQAL is funded by Quantonation, a venture capital fund focused on quantum technologies, and attracts world-class investors.

As the first UI/UX designer of PASQAL Cloud Services team, you will play a crucial role in setting up and implementing processes and establishing structure within the Design Team.

You will be responsible for designing PASQAL main web interfaces with the challenging task to understand the desired user experience and translate it into smart, intuitive and beautiful user interfaces to help get our technology in the hands of end users.

Your missions and responsibilities will include:

• Creating mockups (wireframes and UIs) that implement the user flows and user stories described by the product team
• Continuously take feedback from internal/external users during the design phase through workshops and metrics collection.
• Continuously improve your designs based on the collected feedback.
• Deliver documented and atomic designs to the frontend engineers.
• Collaborate actively with the frontend engineers to build and expand a custom and scalable design system for PASQAL frontends.
• Collaborate with the product managers to better define the product vision as well as propose new features.
• Collaborate with product owners to create iterative and achievable releases and user stories.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience, working mainly for a Cloud product, SaaS product or for a B2B company
• Design (Wireframes/mockups, user discovery interviews)
• UI Design (Figma)
• Familiar with the design system approach and eager to implement it
• Minimal knowledge of frontend programming languages (CSS/HTML)
• Creative and analytical: you can break down problem into pieces and come up with new features that solve them
• Agile cultural experience
• Able to work independently with limited direction
• Curiosity and keen interest for new technologies and tools

English and French professional proficiency is mandatory to work in PASQAL's international environment.
