Our Pricing team plays an essential role at Ovrsea: offering the best service at the best price to our customers ! To do so, the Pricing team responds to our customers’ requests for quotes in a fast and relevant way, negotiates the best prices with our suppliers and automates as much as possible the tasks of quotation preparation in order to gain efficiency and to be able to serve more customers.

The challenges for the Pricing team in 2023 :

• Double the number of operations and double the number of employees
• 70% automation of pricing
• Adapting to the needs of our key accounts
• Internationalization of the teams

As a Pricing & Operations Analyst, you will be in charge of responding to customer requests for quotes and you will have the role of making the pricing and purchasing operations more efficient by improving the tools and processes in place.

This is an operational position with financial issues, which will allow you to acquire a comprehensive vision of the functioning of international freight transport.

The mission is anchored in a very stimulating international context: you will interact on a daily basis with Japanese, Chinese, Indian, American agents, etc.

Your role

Operational planning and pricing of international transport (80%) :

• Response to customer requests for quotations: complete planning of international transport by sea, air and rail
• Tariff negotiations
• Management of the relationship with suppliers
• Response to calls for tenders to offer the best services at the best prices to our customers

Automation project of the pricing tool (10%) :

• Feeding and updating the pricing database
• Participation in the development of the automated pricing tool with the tech team

Structure and continuous improvement of the process (10%) :

• Writing content for distribution
• Writing content for the dissemination of pricing knowledge and process improvement
• Participation in the improvement loop between quotation, operations and invoicing: be able to step back and improve upstream to make operations run more smoothly and invoicing easier
