We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who believes no real website can be built without giving careful consideration to its HTML and CSS to create great usability and accessibility. We are looking for a new colleague who is able to work in strong collaboration with designers and web marketers, speaking their languages as well as their own.

Today, we are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our Acquisition squad. Being part of this cross-functional team, you will work together with a Product Manager, Product Designers, Backends, other Frontends and a QA Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the Product Designers and the Marketing team to enhance the performance of our website.
  • Fully integrate the accessibility and ergonomics standards in order to create optimized components and landing pages following the Marketing Design System and the brand guidelines
  • Translate graphical models into HTML5/CSS3 responsive and mobile first code
  • Optimize HTML for SEO purposes
  • Create the desired behaviors and ergonomics on our web pages using React.JS
  • Proactively identify new improvements and share recommendations related to the front-end components (mobile, accessibility, navigation and performance optimization).
  • Contribute to the life of the Frontend Chapter through code review, pair programming, good practice sharing and evaluation of development of workloads

 You will be reporting to an Engineering Manager.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • You have at least 4-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • React.js has no secret for you and you have used it a lot in your daily work
  • You have plenty of experience with HTML and CSS
  • You have good knowledge of web design
  • You know about accessibility and how to make a page accessible to everyone
  • You have good knowledge of the principles of usability and interaction with the web and mobile devices
  • Ideally you have already worked with Product Designers
  • You can communicate both orally and in writing in English (French would be a plus)
