RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within the multimedia learning team, you report to the multimedia content manager.

You will be responsible for writing, reviewing, and recording instructional multimedia content. It can be recorded onsite in our studios in Paris or remotely.

We use virtual background technology to create immersive environments. Thus, you’ll be responsible for setting up and operating all the associated equipment.

Your missions will be:

  • Perform and validate casting for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), set up media training and accompany them along their journey in the whole production process (casting, media training, scriptwriting and audio/video recording).
  • Collaborate closely with the learning design team, SMEs, and Instructional Media Developers to write and review instructional video scripts.
  • Produce multiple audio/video formats (talking head videos, interviews, screencasts, podcasts, fiction scenes, voiceovers) on time and within the defined budget.
  • Collaborate and communicate efficiently with freelancers: SMEs, media trainers, professional comedians, et voice-over artists.
  • Review and validate instructional video scripts
  • Maintain studios and improve our quality standards (innovation on new formats, test and implement new content modalities)
  • Work closely with the Post Production team to build and implement Virtual Backgrounds in the studio and improve the overall aesthetic quality.

 

REPORTING LINE

 Reports to the Multimedia Content Manager.

 

YOU WILL LOVE THIS JOB IF

  • You are passionate about the emerging issues in educational technology and are willing to design multimedia solutions to address them.
  • You have strong knowledge of video and audio recording equipment and studio light setup.
  • You want to be at the heart of production and to work with all those involved in creating instructional multimedia content, your activity requires a great capacity for collaboration and communication.
  • You want to work closely with Learning Designers and Subject matter experts.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Five years in video and audio production
  • Ability to communicate, write and review content in both French and English
  • In-depth knowledge of scriptwriting for instructional videos
  • In-depth knowledge of the multimedia production process
  • In-depth knowledge of camera, lighting, and overall scene setup
  • Ability to guide professional and non-professional performers on set
  • Intermediate knowledge of make-up and teleprompter usage
  • Ability to manage audio/video production and deliver high-quality content
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to quickly develop creative ideas to solve technical issues

HIRING PROCESS

  • The journey starts with a phone interview with the Talent Acquisition Partner (30 min).
  • Then a face-to-face (virtual) meeting with Nicolas, the Manager of this position (1h).
  • A written business case, where we'll be assessing the core competencies for this role.
  • For the final two rounds, you will first meet other members of the Learning Team, then members of other teams at OpenClassrooms (Brand & Comms, Education, Employers & Student Success, Finance…)
  • You will be asked to provide us with professional references including contact details.
