About the role

You will be part of the tribe responsible for the ad delivery. The scope is large and with many opportunities. From managing our delivery algorithm filling hundreds of millions requests a day to analyse our traffic and KPI to improve our algorithms and delivery.

Your work will have a real and instant impact on the company business, and you will get on boarded by one of our talented teams, which are either based in Paris, Strasbourg or Belgrade. Remote work is an option.

As a Confirmed Software Engineer you will role model our standards, always. Constantly raising the bar when it comes to expectation and others, with a willingness to roll your sleeves up to get the job done.  You will be curious, with an ability to get into the details. Never following trends, but always acting based on what is right for Ogury.  Speed matters here. Decisive action-taking and being comfortable taking calculated risks are key to prepare us for the future.

What you will be doing

  • Drive or contribute complex projects and scalable, from the design proposal to the final rollout.
  • Scale, troubleshoot and fix existing applications and services.
  • Deploy and monitor an online system receiving thousands requests by seconds.
  • Improve products/services design and architecture to ensure coherence across all projects.
  • Improve products/services performances to ensure response time constraints and reduce infrastructure costs.
  • Maintain products/services to support current features and business needs.
  • Ensure products/services quality assurance (QA) through the development process: implementations, tests, integration tests, end to end tests, production releases, maintenance and documentation. 
  • Work closely with the product managers and the support team, enhancing full alignment between product development and business needs.

    • About you

  • Prior or current experience in NodeJS and GoLang experience.
  • Experience in AWS would be a bonus, or in any public cloud platform, alongside experience in low latency and high throughput programming.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Redis or column oriented database and knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Sense of ownership, rigour and good communication skills.
  • The ability to speak English and French
  • Someone with the ability to work autonomously, with a strong initiative to complete tasks ahead.
