We’re in search of a visionary data-driven tech lead with genuine passion for tackling scheduling optimisation problems amidst multiple constraints (think the traveling salesman problem (TSP) on steroids).

You like to lead, and take business driven tech-decision, and you would perhaps like to evolve a CTO position in the next 24 months.


At ModaResa, our mission is clear: to become the premier modern web application for sustainable planning and sourcing across the global B2B sector in sportswear and fashion. Here’s how we plan to achieve this:-

  • Through the strategic aggregation and intelligent presentation of valuable, industry-specific data, coupled with unique business constraints tailored to individual retailers, we aim to empower users to adopt a more conscientious approach to travel and sourcing.

  • Our ultimate goal? To have a lasting positive impact on the global carbon footprint associated with buying-related travel.


We are seeking a dynamic individual with a strong strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of current market trends and opportunities through AI.

In this role, you will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, driving our company’s products and technologies to new heights. Your contributions will be pivotal in fostering innovation within our products and services, ensuring we remain at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies.

Collaboration is key. You will work closely with the CEO and our Data Scientist to make informed technical decisions that align with our company’s overarching goals while enhancing the productivity of our technical team. Additionally, you must have experience solving big data problems and working with data, either through direct experience or by collaborating closely with data scientists on issues like big data analysis or the traveling salesman problem.

Mission: Architecture, lead and build out our ecosystem around scheduling problems, but also structuring our next level data driven platform to predict sourcing and buying trends.

Q3-Q4 2024 will be determinant for us on building out the ecosystem with a large pool of users on waitlist:

  • Launch a commerciable, highly performant V1 of ModaCruising

    • Develop and articulate a compelling tech/product vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall business goals.

    • Oversee the development and delivery of Modaresa’s core platform and suite of solutions, driving continuous improvement and scalability, while developing ModaCruising.

    • Create and manage a comprehensive tech & product roadmap, prioritising initiatives based on market trends, customer needs, and business goals based on our OKR’s

    • Develop the product lifecycle management, from ideation to launch, including prioritization, planning, and execution, ensuring a seamless and effective process.

    • Management of technical debt and continuous improvement of technology infrastructure.

  • Build a high performing, competent and benevolent tech team

    • Enable skill improvement of all team members and promote the sharing of knowledge. You’ll be in charge of leading a high-performing technical team of 3-5 engineers.

    • Anticipate hires and new human ressources needed to execute our ambitions

    • Lead by example for weekly quantitative and qualitative from each team member, and collate relevante weekly KPIs for the CEO

    • Implement lean development methods and have them regularly challenged by the team

    • Promote collegial decisions, foster team cohesion and success

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the product & tech team, promoting skill enhancement and career growth.

  • Strategic Vision

    • Identify feature improvements with a high ROI to avoid churn and enable sales team to acquire new clients

    • Ensure we maintain a stable performance with close to 100% test coverage

    • Identify, anticipate, and mitigate risks associated with product development and market changes.

    • Drive product & tech strategies, updates, goals and performance metrics to executive leadership, team members, and internal and external stakeholders.

    • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance product offerings and contribute to business growth.

    • Lead, guide and inspire cross-functional teams toward successful product & tech development.

    • Leverage data analytics and insights to make informed decisions and optimize product performance.

  • Stakeholder Communication

    • Effective communication with CEO

    • Transparency in reporting progress, challenges, and opportunities.

    • Relationship building with other executives, teams, and external partners.

  • Backend technologies: NodeJS, NestJs, Typescript, REST API, Python

  • Database: PostgreSQL (managed by CleverCloud)

  • File management: S3 Compatible file storage

  • Authentication: Firebase authentication

  • Infrastructure: CleverCloud and Cloudflare

  • Code hosting:  Github

  • CI: Github Actions


Profil recherché

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Fullstack software development in Node.JS/React/TS

  • Ideally pro-efficient knowledge of Python or past experiences with linear programming, with some focus on solving TSP optimization problems or complex scheduling problems.

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven track record of leadership in technical roles, with experience guiding development teams to successful outcomes is a BONUS


Déroulement des entretiens

  1. We asses your motivation letter and video, along with your CV.

  2. If we see there is a potential mutual match, we invite your for a first short introductory culture fit call over google meet call (30 minutes).

  3. Live technical test (2 Hours)

  4. Second technical test with external technical advisor (45 minutes)

  5. Reference checks.

  6. 1 - 2 hour in-depth interview on your past professional experience with founder in person in Paris.
