Job description

The Corporate Paralegal is responsible for providing accurate as well as timely support and advice on a worldwide level in the field of Corporate Law and Intellectual Property for all the subsidiaries and branches of Mantu Group.
The Corporate Paralegal reports directly to the Corporate Legal Manager.

The duties and responsibilities include:

  • Legal secretary of +100 entities based in 60 countries:
    -Providing legal and administrative assistance during all stages of the companies’ lifecycles of the Group (creation, modification, approval of annual accounts, AoA’s amendments, UBOs statements, corporate ledgers update, etc.), with assistance of local lawyers/fiduciaries when needed;
    -Ensuring the execution, registration and archiving of legal documents;
    -Updating of databases and internal legal applications;
    -Contributing to the creation and/or development of our internal legal applications.

  • Performing legal research in various local legislations and case law;

  • Based on seniority, drafting or reviewing basic corporate legal documents (NDA, minutes of shareholders’ meetings, board of directors’ resolutions, share transfer agreements, delegation of authorities, powers of attorney, etc.);

  • Managing the trademark portfolio of the group and other IP related matters:
    -Registering and renewal of trademarks and logos;
    -Handling opposition and pre-litigation topics;
    -Performing legal research when needed.

Preferred experience

Ideal Profile:

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Corporate Law and/or Business Law or in Administration with sufficient law courses;
-Ability to work in English AND French is mandatory, a third language is a plus (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese).
-Good knowledge of basic finance and accounting is a strong asset;
-Minimum 12 months of work experience in a related field in an international company or law firm;
-Problem solving skills and ability to work in an international business environment;
-Ability to balance priorities and organize work effectively to meet deadlines;
-Ability to do research in different national laws;
-Meticulous, well-organized and able to work in autonomy;
