About the job

You will join the Finance Operations Officer team, you will work closely with our financial partners (payment management platform, financing partner) as well as the Sales and Tech teams. 

Your role will be to optimize the financial processes of the platform in order to offer our freelancers and clients an ever more exceptional experience on the Malt platform.

As a finance operations officer, your missions will be

  • Management of the daily operational finance activity: 
  • You will be responsible for the billing of a dedicated client portfolio according to one or more business areas.
  • You will work closely with the key account managers to have clear processes for each key account (Malt works with 85% of the CAC40).
  • You will set up a clear collection process adapted to the customer categories (key accounts, SMEs, etc.).
  • You will manage the support to clients / freelancers on billing / payment issues.
  • You will manage specific invoicing outside the platform (credit notes, HBO invoices, payments, etc.)
  • You will also be responsible for educating Malt's international teams about the Malt platform and financial processes.
  • You will audit foreign customers/freelancers to identify specific billing/payment needs. 
  • Innovation / Process Automation: 
  • You will identify bottlenecks in the current financial processes that cause friction on the customer/freelance side.
  • You will also work closely with the Product & Tech teams to evolve the platform and make it even easier for customers to bill and pay. 
  • You will benchmark existing financial partners to optimize Malt's service and operational profitability.

    • Preferred experience

  • A first experience in a start-up (ideally B2B platform) with a focus on operational finance issues.
  • Strong analytical and listening skills.
  • A good level of English. Spanish or German is a plus since the opening of our offices in Spain and Germany.
  • You are rigorous, autonomous and highly organized.
